Imagine having a second home in the mountains, offering all the charm of a traditional 1807 Alpine farmhouse and the comfort of a modern chalet. You could have all this with La Ferme de la Caillère, which is just 50 metres from the shuttle bus stop and 300 metres from the village of La Giettaz.
This single storey apartment sleeps 10 - six adults in the main bedrooms and there are four single beds, ideal for children, on a mezzanine floor.
Skiers and snowboarders can choose between two ski passes: Portes du Mont-Blanc and Évasion Mont-Blanc. And for even more options, the slopes of La Clusaz are only 12 km away.
In summer, the mountains are a paradise for cyclists, hikers and paragliders. You can also try summer sledging and rock climbing, or take the ski lifts up to higher ground for a picnic with breathtaking views.
You will find all the shops you need for your stay in La Giettaz. And at the end of the day, you’ll be able to relax in your private sauna and admire the views from the balcony.

About the property…
La Ferme de la Caillère is a spacious apartment for 10 guests, which is built on the main floor of an ancient farmhouse, accessible to people with reduced mobility, as well as a mezzanine. It has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, three of which are en suite.
You’ll enter the apartment straight from the drive – there are no stairs to take. The spacious living room has a sociable seating area with two sofas and armchairs around the TV. There’s also a fully-equipped kitchen and a dining table where you can eat together.
French doors lead out to a balcony where you can relax and enjoy the stunning views over the valley.
There are three double bedrooms on the main floor, each with its own television, shower room and separate WC. One of these bedrooms has a dressing room, and another has direct access to the balcony. There is an additional shower room with WC for guests sleeping on the mezzanine, where you’ll find four single beds.
La Ferme de la Caillère’s other facilities include a sauna, a laundry area with a washing machine and dryer, as well as a ski room with a heated boot dryer.
Outside, the apartment has a flat garden with sunbeds, a barbecue and a summer dining table, as well as four parking spaces.
About the area…
In winter, the link between Le Plan and the ski areas of Combloux and Megève allows skiers and snowboarders in La Giettaz to enjoy two high-quality ski areas. Between them, Les Portes du Mont-Blanc and Évasion Mont-Blanc offer more than 400km of slopes across the resorts of Megève, Saint-Gervais, Saint-Nicolas-de-Veroce and Les Contamines-Montjoie. If you’d like to explore further, the 200km of slopes in the Aravis mountains, which include La Clusaz, are just a short drive away.
Summer also brings its share of exciting activities. As well as hiking and biking, you can try climbing, summer sledging and paragliding. There are plenty of opportunities to discover the natural beauty of the mountains, with unique wildlife and impressive scenery, such as the Col des Aravis.
If you’re looking for a change of scene, take a trip to medieval Annecy. This beautiful lakeside city and its canals are only 45km away. Explore the historic old town, the markets and the castle, or head for the lake where you can try various water sports, take a mini-cruise, rent a boat or simply spend the day at the beach.

There were 10 of us, including two young children, and everyone was able to enjoy their privacy thanks to the rooms, each equipped with its own bathroom and toilet.

Designed to comfortably accommodate up to 10 people, La Ferme de la Caillère is an old 1807 farmhouse that has been totally renovated to combine authentic features with modern comfort.
This apartment, which retains the atmosphere of a traditional chalet on one floor and a mezzanine room, has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, three of which are en suite. The entire floor, with the exception of the balcony and mezzanine, is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
However, it is located directly under the eaves, so the ceiling height is reduced in some places.
From the moment you step inside, you will be charmed by the cosy living room and its Savoyard-style décor. The main living area has a very welcoming lounge with a television, a large dining table and a compact, well-equipped kitchen.
Doors open onto the furnished balcony, where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley.
The apartment's three double bedrooms each have their own shower room and separate toilet. The mezzanine room, which is ideal for children or friends, has four single beds, with an additional shower room and toilet at the bottom of the stairs.
After an exhilarating day in the mountains, the private sauna at La Ferme de la Caillère is the perfect place to relax. On the practical side, the apartment also has a laundry area with a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a ski room with a heated boot dryer.

We previously ran an inn in Haute-Savoie, near Chamonix. After selling it with a slight twinge of sadness, we wanted to embark on a new project and stay in the Savoie region, working with people.
In La Giettaz, we found and fell in love with La Ferme de la Caillère, a wonderful old building dating back to 1807.
We are parents and grandparents to three wonderful little ones, and this project was close to our hearts, with the support of our children.
What can we say about the Aravis..
it’s a return to childhood for both of us, wonderful memories that we want to share with our family, friends and guests.
It’s a paradise for anyone who loves nature, with wonderful flora and fauna, the joys of skiing in winter and hiking in summer. You can escape to an altitude of 1150m just a few minutes from the Col des Aravis.
Laurent, with the help of local craftsmen, has renovated the farmhouse using local materials, wood and stone.
A few hundred metres from the village centre, the farm has two splendid views, south-facing over the valley and village on one side, and over the Aravis mountains on the others.
We live on the farm and will be there to welcome you when you arrive and advise you during your stay. We enjoy sharing our local knowledge with our guests and do everything we can to make them feel at home.
Laurent is an expert on wine and Champagne and is happy to offer you tastings of local and other products in a friendly atmosphere.
